The Baldwin School Maskers Club
November 5 at noon at the Baldwin School
Sister Act is set in the 1970's and you can't find more fun dances than were created in the 70's as part of the Disco Dance craze. We are using those dances in choreographing Sister Act - and the Maskers want to teach them to you! You'll be the hit at any wedding or dance party that you attend if you know how to do the Electric Slide, the Bus Stop and the Hustle! Those who attend the workshop will have a chance to dance their dances on stage before the show starts at 2 p.m.
In addition, students will enjoy making paper and tissue stained glass art projects. The artworks will be displayed in the lobby before the show. Students may take their stained "glass" creations home after the show!
Finally students will be invited to participate in theater games to free their voice and express their groovy side.
The three back to back 30 minute sessions will begin at noon, and end at 1:45. Participants will pay $10 for the workshop and the additional ticket fee, to be included in all three workshop, be invited to perform on the Simpson Center Stage before the matinee show, and see the performance. Two tickets for "ticket level" concession items will be included in the ticket price, along with a Sister Act keepsake.
To choose this option, go to the ticket link (above) and choose the workshop option (child or adult). Your show ticket is included in that package deal.
